I took a little time to myself this summer. Between working at a seasonal job with a fun and friendly team that feels like being in the middle of a highly efficient sitcom and making plans to move my life from Arizona to Oregon before the end of the year, I was tired and needed a reset. During that time I restructured my site, visited Oregon for a week, researched future articles, and envisioned what the future of Traveling Coffee Girl looks like. No matter what changes happen in life, the one constant through everything is the ritual of coffee.
All it takes to calm frayed nerves is the scent, the sound, and taste of that happy hug in a mug. From the whir of the coffee grinder and the hum of the coffee maker to the heat of a full cup in between my hands while breathing in the deliciously warm and comforting aroma of comfort. It’s a ritual that sets the scenes for the rest of the day. Coffee is a morning promise that makes every day worth waking up. Even on the bad days, I know coffee is there.
In a world that keeps cortisol constantly raised and where fight or flight is a way of life, relaxation and comfort is what I want to bring into my online Home. A fun blog where creativity and whimsical curiosity are celebrated. After a little bit of a redesign, these are the present and future plans for Traveling Coffee Girl:
The Restructure : It’s subtle. A few website and design changes are in the works. Two of my favorite artists are currently updating the look of the Traveling Coffee Girl logo and adding a cute little Coffee Girl emoji. I’ve seen a few of the early drafts and I’m really excited and feel extra loved by some of the most important people in my life.
Coffee Adventures is the once a week focus on coffee, interesting people, places, and a few book reviews. This eclectic crazy quilt of a blog is like that coffee shop filled with music, games, and art that can’t quite settle on a theme because coffee, fun, and magic should go together. Published on Thursdays, it’s a fun way to jumpstart the weekend.

Beginning Sunday, October 4: Cozy Coffee Notes are the daily musings that come to mind with each cup of coffee. The random thoughts, poetry, and attempts at artwork that are part of being human. An entrance into my world and the silly ideas I have throughout the day and probably should start writing down more.
